“Ah–” a quiet sound of realization left his lips as the boy spotted a tiny caterpillar; green with soft contrasts of slim white stripes and specked with yellow and black dots around itself. a amiable smile gracing the plump lips as he kneeled down to get a closer look, Picking up a small twig and placing it before it to coax the small organism to crawl upon it and is if recognizing his efforts, the small caterpillar slowly wiggled its way onto the twig. A pleased chuckle left the boy as he brought it up slowly, getting a better look. “You’re so cute now, I can’t imagine what you’ll be like as a butterfly, hmm~” he praised it, not willing to touch it…but instead just admire it from this safe distance before putting the twig back down for the little one to crawl on its way safely. He was glad there wasn’t any spiders, it seemed to be all the nice and lovely insects here and he was glad for that. Was it weird for a boy to have an affinity to flowers and such? He didn’t question it often. He normally would become saddened at the sight of flowers– not so much because of their image but because of their form. It was nice to receive them and all; but it was rather depressing to see them wilt overtime as all things did.

He stayed there in that spot for a good while; watching the caterpillar crawl off to safety and watch the small movements of other bugs that he’d rather not come into as close contact as his earlier friend. The sun wasn’t overbearing these past few days and things were rather calm like this area of greenery. Sungjong honestly believed that if it wasn’t filled with insects that he would like to just sprawl out and relax here, but he’d have none of that crawling business on him–he couldn’t stand that feeling of tiny legs making a way up his leg, it scared the living hell out of him honestly and as if that was the queue, a small roly-poly crawled over his shoe. No Skin to bug contact–he wasn’t disturbed, but amused. Lightly tapping his foot, the roly-poly fell into a fearful state, curling into a ball and rolling to safety off his foot. Well, He could honestly say it was effective in the least. He felt similar to the bug in that way, A protective shell that when needed was quickly put up; he had always liked things like that..maybe because he found some common ground? Maybe..

Looking up from his train of thought, he though of it–yes, what he came here for, ‘Lee Sungjong, no getting distracted with such simple things’ he thought to himself as he pulled off his backpack and pulled out a camera, More specifically his hyung’s camera.  he wasn’t…what you’d call, overly skilled in photography like his hyung was, but he did enjoy attempting it. Sungjong also had a vast appreciation for pictures, maybe not in the same way as his hyung, but he liked capturing things as they are and were before the changes of life tainted their once being.  "Where is it….“ He mumbled to himself as he stood up, loosely grasping the straps of his bag in one hand and the camera firmly in the other–He’d never hear the end of it if an unfortunate accident happened to his hyung’s camera (Especially when Sungjong hadn’t actually gotten permission to use it).

Quietly and observantly taking pictures of the different flowers and small insects, he let out a humming sound of approval–scrolling through the pictures he’d taken. He was really hoping he’d see a butterfly though. Snapping pictures of a lady bug here, a caterpillar there– but where were butterflies? Normally they were rather easy to spot if they were around, but maybe they weren’t here this day. How disappointing..This was the main reason he’d came here. Pulling on his backpack, He figured he wouldn’t find any butterflies this day and started to walk back, dragging his feet as the gravel scraped loudly to resonate his disappointment. Maybe he could come back another day? ..what day was it so often that his hyung would part with his camera long enough for him to do this again–Not likely. He couldn’t help sighing from this fact.

Walking for some time, he was finally nearing back to the dorm, wondering if he would find a frantic hyung searching for his beloved camera; and he wondered what ways he could make it seem as if he hadn’t taken it and that he had only 'misplaced’ the treasure of his. Glancing up from his shoes as he walked, he noticed a flowerpot on a nearby windowsill and he couldn’t help but feel happy seeing the soothing colour of the petals and too his luck, it seemed that maybe the butterflies felt that way too.
